Best Photos for AI Dance Videos: A Practical Reference Checklist
Choose clear adult reference photos for AI dance videos. Check lighting, face visibility, framing, file format, and the order of your two person references.
The best photo for an AI dance video is usually the one that makes the person easiest to identify. Strong filters, dramatic shadows, and a busy group composition can look appealing while making a reference harder to interpret. Start with clarity, then consider style.
Keep one person easy to read
Use a photo with a single obvious subject. The face should be large enough to recognize, with both eyes visible where possible. Avoid sunglasses, hands covering the mouth, hair across the eyes, or a face cropped at the edge of the image.
Natural expressions and a front or slight three-quarter angle are useful starting points. An extreme profile gives less information about the hidden side of the face. Use a reference the person is comfortable with and has agreed to use for an AI transformation.
Choose light that reveals detail
Even daylight or soft indoor lighting usually preserves facial detail better than a strong backlight. Check that the face is neither washed out nor lost in shadow. If you need to brighten the photo, make a modest adjustment rather than applying a heavy beauty filter.
Keep the original-quality file when possible. Repeated messaging-app compression can blur the eyes, hairline, and clothing edges. Increasing the pixel dimensions of a blurry picture does not restore those details.
Include context for person replacement
The current generator uses person replacement, not the unavailable Face Swap mode. A clear head-and-shoulders or upper-body reference can provide useful information about proportions and clothing. Avoid cutting off the face, introducing another person's hand, or filling most of the frame with background.
Clothing in the output may still differ. The model interprets the reference within a moving dance scene; it does not guarantee that every garment, accessory, or identity detail survives. Read Face Swap vs. Person Replacement for the expected scope.
Check the files and person order
Use JPEG, PNG, or WebP photos up to 10 MB each. If your phone provides another format, export a supported copy before selecting it. A filename extension alone does not convert the file.
For two references, verify which person Photo 1 and Photo 2 should represent. Use the swap button between the photo cards when their order is wrong. Before submission, compare the two selected thumbnails to avoid accidentally reusing the same reference.
A quick check before generating
Confirm consent, visible faces, balanced lighting, supported files, and the correct order. Then review the selected dance clip and the displayed generation settings. Better inputs reduce avoidable ambiguity, but they do not guarantee a perfect result. The creation guide takes you through the remaining steps.
